Young Guns 2025
An afternoon and evening on our estate outside Milan: clay shooting, two panels on a stage built in the field, apericena in the garden and telescopes until eleven. The full story at PostGarage
Scouting missions on the ground with our investors, and the international VC community brought to Italy. Every trip and every table serves the same purpose: knowing the managers we back before we back them.
October 2026 · two weeks · 18 participants · LA Tech Week and RAISE Global Summit
Los Angeles first, during LA Tech Week, meeting the funds and founders of Silicon Beach.
Then north to San Francisco and the RAISE Global Summit. Along the way, meetings with firms such as a16z, Khosla Ventures, Upfront Ventures and Amplify Partners.
California is the market we return to most often: SAM has been there in 2022, 2024, 2025 and twice in 2026.
September 2026 · Bolzano and the Dolomites · three days inside the To The Peak festival
Our latest edition moved into the mountains, inside To The Peak, the innovation festival of the Dolomites. General partners, limited partners, family offices and founders spent three days together between private meetings, panels and the peaks.
We travelled up from Milan as one group, so that the conversations started on the road rather than at the venue.
20 May 2026 · Julie’s, London · co-hosted with BNVT Capital
The format crossed the Channel for an evening at Julie’s, co-hosted with BNVT Capital. Morgan Blair Borer, founder of Blair Reputation Management, was master of ceremonies. Luca Rancilio opened the evening on bridging Italian investors and global venture ecosystems, and Chris Corbishley, Managing Partner of BNVT Capital, introduced the firm’s focus on AI and frontier technologies.
Then the heart of the night: interviews about VC and life with five emerging managers, followed by a networking dinner with Italian LPs, family offices and founders.
SAM is how Rancilio Cube does its homework. One or two weeks in a venture capital hub, with our team and a small group of Italian families and professional investors travelling with us.
Months before departure we map the local funds. On the ground we meet the managers in their own offices, sit in on the ecosystem’s flagship events and spend time with the founders they back. We come home with a shortlist, and sometimes with a new fund in the portfolio.
Our investors see first-hand how a fund is chosen. The managers meet the people whose capital they would be managing.
Months ahead, we chart the funds of the destination and choose who to meet.
A week or two of meetings in the funds’ offices, at the ecosystem’s events and with the founders they back.
The investment team goes deeper with the most convincing managers. Some become part of the portfolio.
Young Guns puts emerging managers raising their first or second fund in front of Italian LPs and family offices. Panels in the afternoon, a long table in the evening, and no stage between the people raising capital and the people allocating it.
